Teni: it wasn't a Kidnap attempt, but they was gun shot at the event
Nigerian artiste, Teniola Apata, professionally known as Teni, has cleared the air on the shots that disintegrated her performance at a festival in Rivers State.
In a viral videotape which surfaced on Sunday, the songster fled the stage at an event which was held at Buguma Town, Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Some media outlets had reported that the projectile dread was a kidnap attempt on the songster.
Clearing the air, Teni took to her Instagram story on Saturday to refute claims that it was a kidnap attempt.
“ It all happed so presto. There was no prevalence of tried kidnap,” the songster wrote.
Revealing the cause of the dread, the Case chorister noted that a fight broke out and it led to a rush.
She wrote, “ A fight started out confidentially and that led to a rush.”
In an earlier post, the songster had revealed that it could ’ve been a different story but she was thankful to God.
The acting spokesperson for the Rivers State police command, Grace Iringe-Koko, verified the incident but said Teni was saved by security operatives unhurt.
“ The police division there in Buguma has been commanded to fish out those behind the attack. We'll insure they're brought to bespeak,” she stated.
