The Federal Government has appealed to Nigerians to take their health seriously as the number of verified COVID-19 cases has risen vastly by 630.

The Federal Government has appealed to Nigerians to take their health seriously as the number of verified COVID-19 cases has risen vastly by 630.

The Minister of State for Health, Dr Olorunmimbe Mamora, made the appeal in an interview with Punch. He said there's need for Nigerians to take responsibility to attack coronavirus as COVID-19 cases continues to increase with the country recording infections between December 6 and 15.

When asked on what the Federal Government would do in view of the increase in cases, Mamora stated that the government would continue to strengthen being measures.

“ It’s basically to strengthen the being measures through advocacy, mindfulness creation, education and emphasis on the need for people to take responsibility for their health.”

No smaller than 107 inbound passengers to Nigeria tested positive for COVID-19 in the last bone week. Between November 25 and December 4, the country recorded 749 cases of COVID-19 while between December 5 and December 14, the cases recorded were representing437.92 percent increase over the former 10 days.
