Coach Guardiola Reveals new Covid cases in Man City Camp
Manchester City Coach Guardiola said Friday that his Premier League titleholders had been hit by a fresh surge of coronavirus cases.
The league leaders were without 21 help, including Guardiola and seven elderly players, for last week’s FA Cup third-round palm at Swindon after positive tests for Covid-19.
Some first- platoon regulars have returned ahead of the home match against alternate- placed Chelsea on Saturday, which is still anticipated to go ahead as listed.
Guardiola, speaking at apre-match press conference, said “ Some people are coming, some people are positive again. When you have tested formerly, doubly negative you come back. Else not.
“ We've some new cases but they want sequestration, so I can not tell you.”
The City master coughed while speaking to journalists but said he felt fine after returning to work.
Asked about his family, the City master replied “ Yes, we're OK. Thank you.”
The gleeful schedule in English football’s top-flight was oppressively disintegrated by detainments, with clubs floundering to field sides due to rising Covid cases and injuries.
City are 10 points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table, with both clubs having played 21 of their 38 league games this season.
